How far along: 18 weeks (almost 19)
Due date: January 7th, 2015
Maternity clothes: All the time. I've even started wearing a MuuMuu around the house because lets be honest … pants and I … we're not friends.
Sleep: I slept on an air mattress this whole weekend and now have a new found appreciation for my queen size bed. Now, don't get me wrong, I love my husband but I do not love sleeping so close that we are laying partially on top of one another. If you've ever slept on an air mattress you know that is inevitable that through the course of the night it will deflate a little bit. And as the bed deflates the center goes down and gravity pulls you into it. So by the time we woke up in the morning lets just say it wasn't super comfy anymore. And then it just got worse, after our last night of sleeping on the air mattress I woke up to find myself laying diagonally across the bed and poor Sam curled up in this little ball half on and half hanging off the air mattress to try and accommodate me. Ha. What a good husband I have! I felt so, so, so bad. I asked him if it was like that the whole night and he told me it wasn't but I can tell when he's lying and he definitely was trying to make me feel better about it.
Miss anything: Being able to brush my teeth without gagging and having hiccups that are excruciatingly painful.
Movement: Every now and then. And I love every moment of it!
Food cravings: Salty things, particularly chips. Ohhh … and humus. I love me some roasted red pepper humus.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Sometimes the smell of meat cooking can get to me, but otherwise I'm pretty good!
Have you started to show yet: Yes siree-bob!
Gender: Still a secret to us … but I am dying to find out. I've had dreams that it was a boy and I've had dreams it was girl … so that wives tale isn't working.
Pregnancy signs: Daily heartburn, more frequent headaches and way more frequent trips to the bathroom.
Belly button in or out: Inny
Wedding ring on or off: On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy
Best moment of this week: This isn't baby related but … best moment was that we got to take a road trip down to Utah and see a lot of old friends. Our mission President and his wife gave their homecoming talks at church this last Sunday and we got to go! I was amazed how many missionaries were able to make it. So fun to see everyone.
What are you looking forward to: The fact that we are getting closer and closer to our 21 week ultrasound, August 27th is the big debut! But seriously it's starting to feel a little more like torture every day. I want these next 2 and a half weeks to go by lightening quick. I just want to see this baby sooo bad. And I don't think it is helping that I dream about our little one once or twice a week now. Every time the baby looks different and its a different gender, its driving me crazy! But in a weird way I think the dreams are making me feel more connected to our baby. It's weird to describe but it surprises me how much I love this baby more and more every day!!
